Hi everyone,

These are some products I picked up over the weekend, mainly from Catrice and Essence.

I had been keeping an eye out on the Catrice display at my local store because I knew they were coming out with some new products that I really wanted to try. They're not all out yet so I guess they're gradually bringing them out but I managed to pick up three things.

The first is the Skin Tone Adapting Makeup, which is basically a CC cream (yes, after the BB creams come the CC creams!). It's similar to the Revlon foundation that comes out white then adjusts to your skin as you rub it in.
There are only 2 shades, light and medium and medium worked very well for me. I've only used it once so far and it looks promising. Evens out your skin and it will give a white cast at first but will adjust to your skin after a minute or so. Gives a matte finish. Will definitely use this a bit more but so far so good.

The two nail polishes from Essence are part of their Limited Edition collection that is currently out called Aquatix, a sort of mermaid, underwater inspired collection. Underwater Love might be looking more shimmery blue in the picture but it's actually a darker indigo type of blue with green, gold and teal, depending on how the light hits it. This is one of those sandy texture nail polishes so I'm curious to try it.
The other shade, Mermaid's Secret, is a vibrant violet shade which reflects electric blue when the light hits it so I'm really looking forward to trying it out!

Next is the new Catrice Gel-like Top Coat which is supposed to give your nails a gel look finish. I love thick, glossy top coats because I just feel like they make any nail polish look really good and also extends the wear. I will have to use this one a bit more to really formulate an opinion as the one time I've used it, I had air bubbles on my nails and I couldn't tell if it was from this top coat or the nail polish I used or the thickening base coat!

This next one is now a favourite of mine, the essence nail candies in Peachy Keen. The line is supposed to have 6 benefits for your nails, thus the 6 in 1 tag. I can't comment on that yet, only the shade itself which a a lovely peachy nude shade. It's a really classy type of nude that just gives your nails a clean, polished look. This would definitely work well for a french manicure. Definitely a keeper for me.

The next two are two of the SuperStay 14HR lipsticks from Maybelline. I've been wanting to try these out but just somehow never picked them up till the weekend when they were on sale so perfect time to pick them up for a try. Burst of Coral is a pinky coral that leans more pink and, applied more intensely can appear more of a neon pink.
Red Rays is a straight up bright red. I'm going to have to try these to see if they really are long-lasting but from the swatches I did on my hand, they definitely look promising.

Then we have the new Velvet Matt Eyeshadow in 040 Al Burgandy from Catrice. This was the product I was looking forward to the most! You guys probably know how much I love burgandy eyeshadows and since this is the new matte range, I really had to pick this up. If I do love this as much as I'm hoping, expect a review and swatches soon!

Last but not least is the Aquatix Eyeshadow stick, which is a sea blue, almost turqoise shade. I swatched this and had it on my hand for hours then even dipped my finger in water and tried to rub it off and it still stayed and didn't even smudge. I'm hoping this will perform just as well on my oily eyelids!

So those are my little weekend finds. As usual, let me know if you have any questions or need further details. And we'd love to see your little weekend finds or random hauls.

Have a great day, guys!
