Hello 2016!

Bula Everyone and a Very Happy New Year to you all!

Yes, I know January is almost done but as you may have guessed, we have been on a break and now we're back and raring to go! I don't know about you but 2015 just flew by for me. And in all honesty, I'm glad to see the back of 2015.
For me personally, 2015 was that type of year, the kind that comes along once in a while and challenges you to the very core. 2015 had a big emotional impact on my family across the board, in Fiji, in Switzerland and in the US. And this came hand-in-hand with other situations that together, took so much out of us all. While I'm glad to see the back of it, I am, begrudgingly, glad it came along. Challenging times are hell to go through but man, don't they make you stronger! And they really show you what and who matters in life and what and who don't. And that's important in life. I can honestly say that times like that have been invaluable to me, they have shaped me so much and really helped me filter out the unimportant things and continue to motivate the things I do.

So, to everyone out there, going through something in their life, yes, it's hard right now but you will get through it and be stronger and better for it. Somewhere, deep in that harshness and seemingly endless darkness, is a gem of a knowledge waiting for you to discover it and claim it. And it might be a lesson or a revelation or simply, strength, but it will be invaluable. Never stop seeing beauty around you, in the little things, and you will eventually see the light at the end of the tunnel.

So here's to moving forward :)

What can you expect from us at Pacific-Style this year. Quite alot, actually. Through the haze of 2015, we have been continuing work on the various little things we were trying to build here and it has obviously taken longer than we wanted but such is life. But at last, things are finally coming together.

One of the main things is the re-design of the website, both here and the Fiji Shop, which is now being re-named to Fiji Cosmetics. The re-naming was necessary as we found people were struggling with differentiating between the two websites. 
The new design of this website will be more in tune with the type of content we want to put out as talking with many of you has given us a clearer idea of all the various things you're all interested in. It also gives us here more freedom to put our own thoughts and interests and visions out there to share. So we are pretty excited about that!

We feel like we are finally close to arranging our schedule and ourselves in a way that allows us to get that right work rhythm going. We have so many articles and videos etc. in our to-do list that have piled up and we just haven't been able to keep up but we're hoping that with the tweaks and plans we've made, that will change. This translates to getting new content up on the website on a regular basis. And while our YouTube channel was never our main focus, we do plan to start having more videos up, especially the ones you guys request.

The other main things that will be happening will be in our Fiji shop which is now Fiji Cosmetics. We are excited about bringing in a full range of makeup brushes we've personally selected, along with expanding our range. 
Expect more regular newsletters. They will keep you updated on what's going on in both sites.
And with the new ordering and shipping tweaks, it will be even easier and convenient to place and receive your orders.

So yes, we have alot of things in the pipeline which we are very excited about. And we are so grateful for your continued support and input and patience. It's been amazing getting to know the different personalities out there, having you share your thoughts and time with us. So many different people with different lives, all having this common interest and just having fun with it. That's the real beauty of this site for us.

So thank you all. We wish you the very best for 2016. We wish you strength and perseverence to get over your obstacles and achieve the things you've been working hard for, we wish health for you and your loved ones, lots of love and joy and laughter and that you will see the beauty in everything around you, especially in times where it is most difficult.
